Tarquinia, situated in northern Lazio, is just over a one-hour drive from Rome, not far from the border with Tuscany.
Getting There
Tarquina is 80 km from Fiumicino international airport. It is 97 km to Ciampino Airport which is well serviced by low cost airlines including Ryanair and Easy Jet.Both airports are well connected by Autostrade.Car hire is available at both airports and while a car would be useful it is not essential.

Civitavecchia is 20 kms with a ferry connection to the beautiful island of Sardinia.
As well as tourism, agriculture is a major local industry. Olive groves and vineyards, cattle, sheep and pig farming are all important to the area.
The local cuisine reflects this variety with fresh seafood widely available but also an excellent range of meat and dairy products.
